Change in the chief executive officer at CIG Pannónia Life Insurance Plc.
Chief Executive Officer of CIG Pannónia Life Insurance Plc. Csaba Gaál has resigned from his position as of 18 April 2012. He is replaced by dr. Ottó Csurgó, who is the CEO of CIG Pannónia First Hungarian General Insurance Ltd as well. Csaba Gaál continues to work for the company as chief actuary until 31 December 2012. The Board of Directors expects from the joint management of the two insurance companies of CIG Group to better exploit synergy and to further improve cost efficiency.

CIG Pannónia Life Insurance Plc. also saw stable growth in 2011, and the business results of its subsidiary, CIG Pannónia First Hungarian General Insurance Plc., exceeded all expectations in its first year of operation. Pannónia Investment Service Provider Plc., jointly founded by Life Insurance and Pannónia Pension Fund, began its operations in late 2011 and, by the beginning of 2012, was already handling more than 80 billion forints in assets.

CIG Pannonia Life Insurance on the road of further changes in business model strategy – the company’s profitable operations in focus
According the decisions made by the Board of Directors today the company decided to change the operations model of its Romanian subsidiary. In future the Hungarian insurance company’s sales activity in Romania will be conducted via cross boarder activity.

CIG Pannonia Life Insurance Plc. published its flash report about its results and assessment of the first two quarters of 2011 along with its further plans. The Board of Directors evaluates the results achieved during the first two fiscal quarters as successful and intends to take further action in the interest of efficiency and the improvement of ability to generate income.
